Victoria Lo

UI/UX Software Engineer

Victoria graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2015. She wanted to be a Veterinarian, so she studied both Integrative Biology and Computer Science, but she switched to software engineering and spent a summer working in Dr. Adam Arkin’s laboratory at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She worked at a variety of different tech companies and industries as a software engineer: back-end engineering for mobile gaming at WRKSHP; front-end engineering for self-driving cars at Cruise Automation; and artificial intelligence labeling at Snorkel and at Yelp. But her lifelong interest in both biology and coding drew her back to the bioinformatics field and to MicroByre. She now brings all of her knowledge and expertise to building front-end tooling and displays for the scientists, enabling them to work with their data more effectively and do science more efficiently.
