Trained in molecular biology and microbiology, Jessie is a super-fan of bacteria and all their quirks. Since discovering the world of microbiology as an undergraduate at MIT, she’s been Team Bacteria. She has studied quorum sensing in bioluminescent bacteria and visualized Proteus mirabilis colonization in urinary tract infections. She received a PhD for her work at Princeton University. Most recently she was a scientist in the Microbiome Discovery group at DuPont Pioneer. She joined MicroByre in 2019 and loves the challenge of developing genetic toolkits for our favorite bacteria.
